Myra Kaye Legg, 85, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Celebration Villa of Teays Valley, Hurricane, WV, following an extended illness.
She was born June 3, 1940, in Henderson, WV, a daughter of the late Harry Norton and Elizabeth Jane (Rogers) Calloway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Legg; son, Patrick Ray Legg; sisters and their husbands, Marlene (Bob) Hope, Sheila (George) Miller and grandson, Justin Crist.
Myra was a 1958 graduate of Point Pleasant High School and retired from the Mason County Board of Education with over 30 years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Henderson Church of Christ and was a certified Red Cross Instructor where she taught swimming lessons and First Aid. Myra was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, and sewing.
Left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Legg and his wife, Barbara of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Joshua, Beth-Ann, Miranda, Quentin, Lindsay; multiple great grandchildren; daughter in law, Edie Legg of Point Pleasant; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Service arrangements are pending at this time and will be announced in the coming days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
Arrangements are under the care of Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV.
