Nell C. Riffle

Nell C. Riffle, 93, of Leon, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was born March 25, 1920, in McDowell County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late James and Hessie Ann (Huskins) Renfro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Everett W. Riffle Sr., August 28, 1985. Nell was a retired math teacher from the Mason County Schools, having taught at Point Pleasant Junior High School. She was a member of Jackson Avenue Baptist Church of Point Pleasant and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Everett W. Jr. and Dottie Riffle of Leon; a granddaughter, Dyana Donn Riffle of Leon; one grandson, Jason C. Riffle of Leon; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Leon Cemetery in Leon with Rev. Basil Hudson officiating. There will be no public visitation.
