Ollie Raymond Nunnery, 92, of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV. He was born December 7, 1920, in Williamson, WV, a son of the late Thomas Oliver Nunnery and Nora Alice (Burchett) Nunnery. Ollie served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a retired AEP employee with 30 years service, and a member of the Mercer Lodge No. 160 of Bluefield, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Ruth Virginia (Kelly) Nunnery; two sisters, Ruth Budnick and Nell Nunnery; one brother, Clifford Nunnery; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Jean Nunnery. Surviving are one son, Tom (Sharon) Nunnery of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Linda (Tom) Flaherty of Warsaw, New York, and Margaret Holt of Point Pleasant; two brothers, Bill Nunnery of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Joe (Virginia) Nunnery of Crumpler, WV; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, 3 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren. A service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel in Princeton, WV with Rev. John Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m., Saturday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, and one hour prior to services Sunday at the cemetery chapel.
