Ronald Norris Burdette, of Leon, WV entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior peacefully at home on November 22, 2025, after 92 blessed years of life.

Ronald was a proud but humble U.S. Army Veteran, who served in Korean.

Ronald retired from Kyger Creek Power Plant with 41 years of service as a Shift Engineer. He faithfully attended Good Shepherd U.M. Church with his wife and family. Ronald enjoyed supporting his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at their sporting events. He was an avid Reds fan and enjoyed farming and hunting. But, most of all he loved camping and fishing along the Cranberry River with his family and friends.

Ronald was born the son of the late Arthur and Florence Schul Burdette, on May 9, 1933.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Jessie Barnett Burdette, along with his four brothers and sisters-in-law Charles & Juanita, Wayne & Patty, Zeke & Jean and John Bill & Wanda Burdette. Brother-in-law Lindy Barnett and Sister-in-law Cindy Barnett Kimble, nephews, Johnny Burdette, Bobby Thomas and Grandson- in-law Brandon Warner.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, sons Ron & Lori Northup Burdette, Stan & Carrol David Burdette and daughter Sherry & Dallas “Rick” Durst.

His Pride and Joy were his Grandchildren Melissa (Richie)Taylor, Caleb (Brea) Durst, Jessica (Ryan) Bailey, Haley (Marcello) Strangis, Nathaniel (Bri) Burdette, Olivia (Kyle) Warner-Taubenheim, Lauren (Zach) Orban, Megan (Adam)Bates-Younes and Lauren Bates (Ben Stanley)

Ronald is also survived by his great grandchildren, which he referred to as “His Great One’s”, Lyndee & Macy Taylor, Liam, Coen & Kylan Durst, Isla & Dylann Bailey, Lucia & Giovanna Strangis, Rogan & Ryhatt Burdette, Layla St. Onge & Brooks Taubenheim, Dahlia & Acacia Orban.

His brother, Curtis Burdette and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. And two very special Army buddies Tom Cole and Bill Austin.

Services for Ronald will be under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, on Saturday, November 29. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and funeral service to follow at 1pm
