Ruby Mae (Pearson) Jordan

Ruby Mae (Pearson) Jordan, 72, of Gallipolis Ferry, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born January 6, 1941, in Hogsett, WV, a daughter of the late Ernest Fredrick Pearson and Laura Jane (Flint) Pearson. Ruby attended the House of Praise Church in Point Pleasant, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dimple Campbell, two brothers, Dale Pearson and Dorman Pearson; a special nephew, Johnny Hughes; and father of her children, Charles "Tony" Jordan. She is survived by her loving son, Jimmy Jordan of Gallipolis Ferry; three daughters, Shirley (Donald) Huffman of Apple Grove, Phyllis Jordan of Apple Grove, and Tammy (Chad) Fielder of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren, Delyssa (Chris) Edmonds of Lesage, WV, Shane Huffman of Green River, WY, Kelly Huffman of Apple Grove, Alisa Pinson of Apple Grove, and Zack Fielder of Point Pleasant; one sister, Carolyn Kiggins of Apple Grove; one brother, Wilbert D. Pearson of Gallipolis Ferry; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Howard Blain officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove. Visitation will be from 12 noon till service time Monday at the funeral home.
