Shirley Gwendolyn Finley

Shirley Gwendolyn Finley, 75, of Apple Grove, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born November 25, 1935 in Mercers Bottom, WV, a daughter of the late Roy E. and Opal (Barnett) Ball. Shirley was a homemaker, and member of the Church of Christ in Glenwood, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Glenna Fay Dalton. She is survived by her daughter, Melody (Jeff) Adkins of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sons, Robert (Diana) Finley of Lesage, WV and Brent (Kim) Finley of Apple Grove, WV; eight grandchildren, Cody Finley, Kalee Finley, Rachel Frye, Robin Frye, Brandon Frye, Zachary Adkins, Sarah Adkins, and Maranda Adkins; one sister, Jean Templeton of Eleanor, WV; and loved by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Ernest Bowser officiating.
