Sybil Ann Dennis

Sybil Ann Dennis, 82, of Point Pleasant, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant.She was born February 26, 1932, the daughter of the late William Lewis Wood and Olive Velma (Medors) Wood.Sybil was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant. She had worked as an aide for the Mason County Schools, and was a homemaker.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bruce E. Dennis; and nine brothers, F. Paul, Charles, Elmer, Lewis, Ray, Donald, Robert, Jimmy L., and Clarence C. Wood.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Jeff Swisher of Point Pleasant, and Margie and David Watson of Point Pleasant; and four grandchildren, Sherri (Keith) Lewis of Gallipolis, OH, Jay (Amanda) Swisher of Point Pleasant, Holli (Michael) Rollins of Leon, WV, and Heather (Tommy) Fallon of Point Pleasant. Also surviving, are nine great grandchildren, Sean (Talissa) Lewis, Noel Swisher, Tyler Swisher, Aubree Geppert, Ryan Geppert, Joshua Reynolds, Karley Reynolds, Liam Fallon, and Roman Fallon; one great great grandchild, Aria Lewis; two brothers, Bill (Barbara) Wood of Point Pleasant, and Jimmy (Judi) Wood of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Robert L. Patterson II officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
