Teresa Marie "Sue" Barnette, 73, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was born March 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Hampton and Jewel Hensley. Sue was a woman of strong faith, and greatly enriched the lives of those around her. She was born and raised in Beckley, WV where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and later obtained her degree in Education from West Virginia State University. Being a woman of many talents, Sue owned her own floral shop named BJ Floral in Point Pleasant for several years. After her success with her shop she went on to work as a K-6 substitute teacher for the Mason County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Byron Jok Barnette; and a brother, James "Buddy" Hensley. She is survived by her husband, Grant Barnette; three sons, Barry (Tina) Barnette of Spartanburg, SC, Bryan (Shelli) Barnette of Point Pleasant, and Bobby (Sally) Barnette of Gallipolis, OH; one sister, Betty Carol Highlander of Beckley, WV; a brother, Hampton (Georgia) Hensley II of Shady Springs, WV; six grandchildren, Brenton, Brandon, Benjamin, Kelsey, Bailey, and Bella; and three nieces and four nephews. A graveside service and burial will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant with Rev. William "Bud" Hatfield officiating.
