Terrence Norman "Terry" Dennis

Terrence Norman "Terry" Dennis, 77, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born June 17, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Forrest Leroy Dennis and Helen (Farley) Dennis. Terry attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant, served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the Kaiser Aluminum Plant in Ravenswood. In his spare time he enjoyed coaching, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Dennis, Dale "Pete" Dennis, and Ronald Stoll; and three sisters, Marion Samuels, Patricia Gosslin, and Rita Peyden. Terry is survived by his wife, Judy B. (Johnson) Dennis of Point Pleasant; four children, Jenny Rife of Claymont, DE, T.D. (Linda) Dennis of Point Pleasant, Joseph (Bobby) Dennis of Claymont, DE, and Rae Ann (Barry) Epling of Point Pleasant; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Also, surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace "Bud" (Marion) Dennis of Bowling Green, OH, Donald (Fran) Stoll of Cleveland, OH, and Sybil Ann Dennis of Point Pleasant, WV; one sister and brothers-in-law, Camille (Joseph) Vetrano of Ripplewood, VA, and Rev. Daniel (Becky) Johnson of Beckley, WV; several nieces, nephews; many special friends; and his special pets, Rocky and Bandit. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Jim Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant where military graveside rites will be given by the Air Force Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Online condolences may be made at www.wilcoxenfuneralhome.com.
