Terri Lee Daugherty, 59, of Point Pleasant, went to her heavenly home, Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Holzer Medical Center, in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born July 27, 1954, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Hiram W. Daugherty and Jacquelin (Casey) Daugherty. Terri graduated with honors, from Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1972. In 1975, she graduated from the Holzer School of Nursing, in Gallipolis, OH. During her nursing career, she worked for Holzer Hospital, Pleasant Valley Hospital, and retired from Lakin Hospital. She attended New Hope Bible Baptist Church, in Point Pleasant. Her community activities included, Point Pleasant High School Football Boosters, and she was a founding member of the Point Pleasant High School Athletic Hall of Fame. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Daugherty. She is survived by her son, Timothy Chase (Mikaela) Daugherty; a grandson, Trent Daugherty; two sisters, Beverly Hill and Toni (Jeff) Holstein; nieces, Angela Purchase, Missy Slone, and Casey Sears; nephews, Keith "Boozer" Hill, Seth Daugherty, Todd Daugherty, and J.D. Holstein; and twelve great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Rich Blain officiating.
