Violet L. Henry

Violet L. Henry of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2026.

Violet was born October 2, 1935, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late Guy and Roma (Harbour) Bush. She lost her mother at the age of two years, and was very fortunate to be raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Rev. Odell and Nora (Harbour) Bush. Her dad, Guy was also very much a part of her life, and he preceded her in death in 1974.

She retired from Shell Chemical (Goodyear Tire and Rubber) in 1996. She was a member of Pleasant View Church of Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Henry; the parents who raised her, Odell and Nora Bush; sister, Wanda Henry; sister-in-law, Linda Folrod; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Henry, Bill Henry, and Roy Henry; niece, Teresa Henry and nephew, Shawn Henry.

She is survived by her son, Randy L. (Polly) Henry of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; two granddaughters, Amanda Henry, Sara (Nathaniel) Roub; one great granddaughter, Kayce (Austin) Willoughby; two great grandsons, Colby Arrington, Garrett Bates; one brother, Tim (Donna) Bush; two step grandchildren, Mary and Luke Wright; five step great grandchildren, Cassidy, Jordan, Sage, Jade, and Ruby; four nieces, Penny (Bill) Rainy, Jamie (Kyle) McGee, Jill Bush, and Angie (Brian); one nephew, Dale (Tammy) Henry; five great nieces, Nora and Sophia Bush, Tiffany, Megan, and Malea; two great nephews, Jacob and Mason; one sister-in-law, Lois Henry; one great granddaughter, Roma Jo Roub and two great great granddaughters, Eleana and Zoe Willoughby.

Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens, Apple Grove, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of the service on Friday, at the funeral home.
