Wanda R. Hendrick

Wanda Rawson Saxton Hendrick, 91, of Bidwell, OH, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

She was born February 14, 1933 to the late Leslie H. Rawson and Katie E. (Hawkins) Rawson.

Wanda attended Countryside Baptist Church in Bidwell. She was a retired housekeeper from Pleasant Valley Hospital.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lee Saxton and second husband, Jay H. Hendrick; three sisters, Reba Rollins, Loretta Hutchinson and an infant sister, Beulah Rawson; and two brothers, Emmett Rawson and an infant brother, Marion Rawson.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Elaine) Saxton of Bidwell; two grandsons, Justin (Cara) Saxton of Bidwell and Jonathan Saxton of Patriot, OH; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Madison, Robert and Allan Saxton and Bethany Blanton; one brother, Donald Rawson of Grove City, OH; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one stepson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
