Wayne "Stormy" Hart Jr.

Wayne “Stormy” Hart Jr., 90, of Letart, WV, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at his residence.

He was born March 17, 1936, in Letart, WV, the only child to the late Wayne Hart and Katie L. (Johnson) Hart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Zack Harris and aunt Freda Edwards.

Stormy was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1954 and a lifelong farmer. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Sunday School Class and was inducted into the Mason County AG Hall of fame, Mason County Farm Bureau and FFA in 2012. Stormy loved the LA Dodgers especially watching them with Mary and loved his God, country and family.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 33 years, Mary L. (Rawson) Hart of Letart; loving daughter, Katrinka Volena Hart-Harris of Letart; bonus daughter Tammy (David) Morrison of Point Pleasant; bonus grandson, Corey Clonch of Point Pleasant; sister-in-law, Frankie Duncan of Point Pleasant and a host of friends that will miss him dearly.

Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor John Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Letart, WV. Friends may visit with family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
