Wesley Levi Simpkins

Wesley Levi Simpkins, 85, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center, Point Pleasant, WV.

He was born November 2, 1939, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Roy I. and Iva Gertrude (Killingsworth) Simpkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Leroy Simpkins; sisters, Hilda C. McCausland, Mamie Simpkins, Thelma Carr, Edna Austin, Tressa M. Turner, Helen Bonecutter, and Minnie Honaker.

Wesley was a farmer and attended the Church of Christ of Christian Union in Point Pleasant. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and collecting various coins.

Survivors include sister, Clara Sayre of Point Pleasant, Opal Hughes of Mason, WV; special nephew, Jackie Simpkins and wife, Debbie of Point Pleasant; special great niece, Missy (Bart) Rapp of Bidwell, OH and special great nephew, JP (Kaitlyn) Simpkins of Gallipolis, OH.

Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV. Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
