Wilbert Donald Pearson

Wilbert Donald Pearson, 78, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.

Wilbert was born June 7, 1947, a son of the late Ernest and Laura (Flint) Pearson in Gallipolis Ferry, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dimple Campbell, Ruby Jordan; brothers, Dale Pearson, Dorman Pearson; nephews, Randy, Johnny, and Rodney and great niece, Lorinda.

Wilbert attended various churches in the community through the years. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks, and collecting pocket knives.

Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Kiggins of Point Pleasant; nieces, and nephews, Darlene, Tracy, Jeff, Randy, Shirley, Phyllis, Tammy, Jimmy, Linda, Richard, Marilyn, Julie, Angie, Sandi, Matilda, Hilda, Amanda, Charlotte, Brenda; special great niece and nephew, Kelly and Zack and many additional great nieces and nephews.

Wilbert had a heart of gold and an easy-going nature. He loved his family, friends, neighbors, and his cat, “Snowball”. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Service will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Howard Blain officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Gallipolis Ferry, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
