William Frederick Crump

William Frederick “Bill” Crump, 87, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Overbrook Center, Middleport, OH, following an extended illness.

He was born July 5, 1938, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Harley and Edna Edith (Reynolds) Crump. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jo (Burris) Crump and one brother, George E. Crump.

Bill was a 1956 graduate of Point Pleasant High School and served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Mountaineer Power Plant in New Haven as a Supervisor. Bill was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Point Pleasant, where he served on the church board, as well as serving as Treasurer and helped in the kitchen at the Nazarene church campground. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spoiling "the littles" in the family.

Survivors include his children, Debra Blankenship of Point Pleasant, Donna Dixon and her husband, Jeff of Winston Salem, NC, Diana Barnette and her husband, Donald of Point Pleasant; siblings, Virginia “Sue” Fuchs and her husband, Jerry, of St. Augustine, FL, Dorothy “Dot” Fisher of Harker Heights, TX, Mary Higginbotham and her husband, Paul of Union Grove, AL, Janet Parsons and her husband, Richard of Point Pleasant, Ezra “Frank” Crump and his wife, Evelyn of Williamstown, KY; grandchildren, Amanda Henry of Ohio, Sara Roub and her husband, Nate of Point Pleasant, Cassandra Thornton and her husband, Navid of Buffalo, WV, Tessa Blankenship of Morehead City, NC, Jacob (Belle) Blankenship of Morehead City, NC; great grandchildren, Quentin, Kayce (Austin) Willoughby, Colby, Garrett, Roma, Kiara, Briar, and Quinn; great-great grandchildren, Eleana and Zoey Willoughby.

Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Carl “Boxer” Swisher officiating. Private burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday, at the church.
