William Paul Maynard

William Paul Maynard, 73, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born August 25, 1947, in Lorado, WV, a son of the late Jesse Maynard and Roberta A. (Preece) Maynard Swisher. Paul served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Smith-Capehart Post 140 of New Haven, WV. He was a graduate of Wahama High School Class of 1965 and Marshall University. He retired with 30 yrs. service as a Mason County Teacher and was currently a Real Estate Agent with Homestead Realty in Point Pleasant. He is survived by his wife of 43 yrs., Jill (Harbrecht) Maynard of Point Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Ben Loudin of Point Pleasant and Courtney and Adam Jones of Winchester, KY; his mother, Roberta A. Maynard Swisher of New Haven; grandchildren, Baylee Loudin, Brecken Loudin and Matthew Paul Jones; a sister, Ann (David) Zirkle of Racine, OH; and one brother, Russell Maynard of Mason, WV. A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Robert Patterson officiating.Military graveside honors will be given by the Air Force Honor Guard, Smith-Capehart Post 140, Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 and the Pomeroy Drew Webster Post 39.Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
