Betty Frances Stover, 81, of Port Orange, FL, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024.
She was born March 23, 1943, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Ned Lambert Sr. and Katie M. (Shiflet) Lambert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ned Lambert Jr.; grandchildren, Deanna M. Doss and Melissa D. Doss; a grandson-in-law, John D. Cline; and best friends, Clara Virginia Carr and Thelma Harris.
Betty was a member of the Elevate Christian Church in South Daytona, FL. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1961 and a caregiver.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara K. (George) Bortz of South Daytona, FL and Lisa Halley of Port Orange, FL; a son, Mark (Kim) Stover of Pottsville, PA; brothers, Eris Lambert of Point Pleasant and Dennis (Janet) Lambert and son John Cody Lambert of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren, David A. Stover, Moriah Halfhill Cline, Robert G. Doss, Clara V. Stover and Katie C. (Justin) Denchy; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Darlene Rompilla of Allentown, PA.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange, Florida for their kindness, compassion and care given to their mother.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, with Pastor John Cody Lambert officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
